Refined Freestanding Dressing Rooms for Temporary Retail Spaces

Freestanding dressing rooms are an affordable and flexible option for temporary retail spaces, particularly pop-up shops. They offer an elegant yet lower-cost alternative to building permanent walls, and can be fully customized to match the store’s aesthetic.

What sets these rooms apart is their reusability—they can be easily dismantled and reassembled for use in different locations, making them an ideal choice for brands looking to create consistent, high-quality experiences across multiple venues.

Below are some of our favorite projects, showcasing the versatility and design possibilities of our freestanding dressing rooms.

Featured Projects: Freestanding Dressing Rooms

Here’s a look at some of our favorite freestanding dressing room projects, each tailored to fit the unique style and needs of pop-up shops across the country. From custom hardware and fabric choices to seamlessly blending with brand aesthetics, these projects highlight the flexibility and attention to detail we bring to every installation.

How are these constructed?

Our freestanding dressing rooms are built using a simple yet sturdy framework. Four poles anchor the structure, each securely placed on a metal base. To hide the bases and enhance the aesthetic, a wood floor is placed over them, providing the laminate flooring visible in the photos.

A circular metal tube connects the top of the four poles, creating a strong frame from which the curtains are hung. The structure can be designed as either a square or circular room, depending on your preference.

The entire design can be tailored to align with your brand’s color scheme, ensuring consistency with your store’s overall look.

Do the freestanding dressing rooms need to be attached to the floor or walls?

No, they are fully independent structures. Each dressing room has an internal framework that supports itself, so there’s no need to secure them to the floor or walls.

Can I customize the dressing room?

Yes! You can fully customize your dressing room. Choose the color of the hardware and wood floor, the curtain details, and any accessories like stools, mirrors, or hooks to fit your space and brand. The floor can even be vinyl wrapped with your logo or artwork.

You have full control over the size and shape of your fitting rooms, allowing you to adjust the width, depth, and height to fit your space.

For the curtains, grommets allow them to slide easily along the top tube. You have the flexibility to choose the fabric, customize hem sizes, select the color of the grommets, and decide on the type of closure — whether magnetic, fabric tie, or loose.

Inside, additional elements can be added for convenience and comfort. You can opt for a mirror, stool, or ottoman, and add hanger hooks or even a rolling rack to match your specific needs.

How long does it take to complete a freestanding fitting room?

Typically, it takes 3-5 weeks to complete a project, with 4 weeks being the most common. While rush service is available, we recommend planning ahead to avoid the complexities that come with expedited timelines.

How does the fitting room ship?

The fitting room ships flat and disassembled. We provide easy-to-follow instructions if you want to assemble it yourself.

We can also handle the installation for you.

How do I get started?

Getting started is simple! All it takes is a consultation to walk through the options for your fitting room construction. From there, we’ll guide you through the customization choices to ensure the design meets your needs and brand aesthetic.
